The Hammer Spring is in my opinion becoming the weakest link in the current and older FRT designs. So we are fixing that with a new and improved 3 position FRT hammer that comes with a new and improved FRT Hammer Spring.
The Hammer has been improved for function in many ways from factory. The peak of the hammer has been given a a larger rolled radius to reduce friction against the BCG and even slightly rolls along the surface instead of dragging. As well as improved design features that help with strength and reliability.
We will also include a new Hammer Spring from one of two options though both will be available. One that has been given an entire extra coil, more preload, and uses a larger wire than factory. Giving improved long term reliability and a more powerful strike… the second option is a .047″ wire that is actually .002′ thicker than a Mil-spec hammer spring wire and gives undoubtingly more strength for when you just need a more powerful hammer spring.
